Honda’s Current Hybrid Lineup: An Overview

In today’s world, electric vehicles (EVs) are becoming increasingly popular, and the most popular kind of EV is the hybrid. Why? Well, it doesn’t need its own charging station, like a fully electric vehicle would. Instead, hybrids alternate back and forth between electric and gas-powered systems. This makes hybrids more affordable and easier to maintain than their full-EV counterparts.

At the moment, Honda has a strong lineup of four different hybrid models. Let’s look at each one to determine which one would be a good fit for your lifestyle and driving habits.

Honda’s Hybrid Models

2025 Honda Civic Sedan Hybrid

This is the hybrid version of one of Honda’s most reliable sedan models. The Honda Civic Sedan Hybrid was built with a two-motor hybrid system that has a 200-horsepower powertrain. This motor system is designed for both power and efficiency. It comes in two trim options: the Sport Hybrid and the Sport Touring Hybrid. The two share a lot of features, but they do have their differences, too.

For example, these two trims share three Dynamic Driving Modes: Econ, Normal, and Sport. But the Sport Touring Hybrid has an extra Individual Dynamic Driving Mode. Other Sport Touring Hybrid-only features include a Rear Cross Traffic Monitor, and a Google built-in. Luckily, the features that both Honda Civic Hybrid trims share include a Blind Spot Information System, heated front seats, and a One-Touch Power Moonroof. All these features come together to create a powerful but economical hybrid sedan that can help you zip around town easily.

2025 Honda Civic Hatchback Hybrid

The Honda Civic Hatchback Hybrid is very similar to its Sedan counterpart. It also has a 200-horsepower powertrain, heated front seats, and a One Touch Moonroof, among other shared features. Like the Sedan, the Hatchback features Deceleration Selectors that allow you to address the brakes to your preferred level of braking intensity, all from a few buttons on your steering wheel.

What really sets the Hatchback Hybrid apart, though, is the way it’s built to prioritize storing and carrying cargo. It has an updated bumper and tailgate design that has a low, wide opening to make it easier to load cargo into the Hatchback Hybrid’s trunk. This hybrid also has lots of seat maneuverability so you can switch between prioritizing passengers and cargo on the fly.

2024 Honda Accord Hybrid

The Honda Accord Hybrid is a sleek sedan that has a hybrid system, but unlike the Civic Sedan and Hatchback Hybrids, it has an EV Mode that allows you to drive solely as an electric car if you wish. And it has a 204-horsepower powertrain. It’s also the first Honda model to have a Google built-in in its Touring Hybrid Trim, something the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid models now have in their 2025 model trim.

It’s available in four trims: the Sport Hybrid, the EX-L Hybrid, the Sport-L Hybrid, and the Touring Hybrid. They all share multiple features, including the One-Touch Power Moonroof with Tilt Feature, Blindspot Information System, and Alexa built-ins. Overall, this sedan has sport styling combined with a spirited on-road personality and an extremely comfortable interior.

2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid

The Honda CR-V Hybrid is an SUV with a 204-horsepower two-motor powertrain. It also has a Sport Mode, which allows you to use its maximum acceleration response and awaken the CR-V Hybrid’s electrifying throttle. It also has a Snow Mode, to help you safely navigate any winter weather you encounter. It has three available trims: the Sport Hybrid, the Sport-L Hybrid, and the Sport Touring Hybrid. These trims include features such as a Cross Traffic Monitor, wireless Apple and Android compatibility, and available Real-Time AWD with Intelligent Control System. Overall, this SUV is a powerful but efficient vehicle that helps you navigate anything that comes your way.
